In the past, there has always been a rule where you can’t wear white after Labor Day. Wearing white was strictly for warmer months, but does anyone even know how that rule came about? But honestly – it doesn’t even matter! That rule doesn’t even apply anymore. You can most definitely wear white during any season. I’m going to show you how to wear white in the winter.
Wearing white in the winter all comes down to the fabrics you choose to wear. If you want to wear white pants in the winter, you want to focus on the fabrics. Heavier fabrics are best like denim, cotton, and wool. You can pair white pants in these fabrics with winter pieces such as a cozy sweater or a chic blouse. There are also super cute white sweater dresses or skirts that you can wear, as well. Wearing an all white outfit also looks great with a pop of color such as black accents like black boots and black accessories.
The outfit I put together includes my favorite pair of high-waisted white jeans that I got from Garage. I wear these jeans all the time throughout the year. Check out how I styled these white jeans in the fall here. I wanted to go for a cozy winter look so I wore my chunky knit sweater from H&M. My absolute favorite color combination is white and pink. It’s such a fun, girly, cute combo. This sweater is so comfy and it’s only $20! Since the pink is such a light color, I wanted to wear a light neutral tone for my boots. I paired this outfit with my taupe Charles by Charles Over the Knee Boots, which I think looks great with the white jeans.
I wanted to add more of a winter white look so I wore this fitted white puffer jacket. This is actually my mom’s that I took from her closet haha! I love that it’s more fitting and not super puffy like typical puffer jackets are. I completed the outfit with my favorite white beanie that I got from Target. This is a great casual outfit and I love how all the white tones brighten up the outfit. This would also be great to wear in a winter wonderland setting like a ski trip since it would blend perfectly with all the snow haha!
I hope this helped you guys learn how to wear white in the winter. What are some of your favorite white pieces that you wear in the winter?
