Cape May Bachelorette Party

Cape May Bachelorette Party

I’m so happy to be sharing my bachelorette party recap with you all! I had such an amazing weekend and it was so much fun! Originally, the plan was to go to Charleston. However, due to Covid-19, we decided to stay local and spend the weekend in Cape May, New Jersey. Cape May is such a cute and historic beach town! If you’re from the New York and New Jersey area – I highly recommend!

We stayed at this cute Airbnb and it was such a great location. It was just a 10 minute drive to the beach, restaurants, and shops. We got there on Thursday night and all the girls decorated the house, while I waited upstairs to be surprised.

My sister (aka maid of honor) got the cutest decorations! She got a Bride to Be Balloon, personalized beach towels, “Bride and I Do Crew” cups, scrunchies that said “To have and to hold your hair back”, a bride sash and veil, and cute banners. My favorite were the Carl face cutouts! – I loved the different facial expressions and thought they were so funny! My sister told me that her and our mom made them. My sister took the photos of Carl and it was actually his idea to do the different facial expressions! You can also find these on Etsy like here!

When they were done decorating, we took photos, popped a bottle of champagne and got ready to go out to dinner. For dinner, we went to the Grand Lawn & Veranda Bar. They have the most adorable outdoor dining area! It has wicker chairs, live music, fresh local seafood and wood fire pizza. We got drinks and ordered a bunch of appetizers, but before we got our dinner, the sky got really dark and it started thundering and lightning. It got so windy and our umbrella at the table even flew away haha. It started pouring so we ended up getting our food to go and eating at the house. Luckily the rain stopped and we got to go out to a local bar. We played some drinking games and it was a lot of fun!

On Friday, we went to brunch at Blue Pig Tavern. It was soooo good! Breakfast is my absolute favorite meal of the day! I got the Eggs Blackstone, which is an eggs benedict with a cheddar scallion biscuit – so yummy! After, we went shopping at Washington Street Mall. There’s so many cute little shops!

Then, we went back to the house to get ready for our boat trip. We rented a tiki boat from Tiny Cruise Line. It was BYOB so we packed lots of drinks and snacks. It was so much fun! We sang, danced to music, went swimming, and even had a water balloon fight with these kids who lived right on the water haha! It started raining, but we kept the party going and just sang to “It’s Raining Men” – we even saw a double rainbow after the rain storm.

After the boat cruise, we went back to the house and ordered food for dinner. While we waited for the food, we played “Guess the panty game” where everyone got me lingerie and I had to guess who got me what. We also played trivia games where my friends had to answer questions about how well they know me and how well they know me and Carl as a couple. It was funny hearing everyone’s answers and seeing which ones they got right and wrong.

On Saturday, we were supposed to get brunch at Mad Batter, but since it was raining, my friend offered to go to the grocery store and cook breakfast for us instead. We ended up just relaxing at the house and got ready to go to Willow Creek Winery. We got a table and ordered wine flights and cheese plates. I tried their sangria slushy and it was so good! After the winery, we were pretty tired so we decided to just relax at the house before dinner. We went to The Pier House for dinner and they had such great seafood! We ended our last night with a game night. We played wedding pictionary that my sister created and charades. It was a lot of fun and we were laughing so much!

The next morning we just had a quick breakfast, packed up, and headed home.

I had the most incredible bachelorette weekend. It was such a great trip and I had so much fun. I’m so thankful to be surrounded by great friends and so lucky to have them in my life. They made me feel so special and my heart is so full.

My sister got all the decorations from Etsy. I’m linking all the decorations and outfits below.

Carl also went on his bachelor party the same weekend and had lots of fun! Him and his friends played golf, rented a boat, and went to wineries and breweries. It was also so cute that his best man got everyone matching t-shirts and a little emergency kit. I told him he had to take photos haha Here are a few photos of his trip:
