A few months ago, I shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for the first time. Even though I bought some trendy pieces, I also bought classic basic items that will always be in style. It’s nice to have items in your closet that can be styled in multiple ways. One of these staple items that I got was this Raw Edge Scoop Neck Tee. It is still in stock and on sale for under $20. It also comes in a pinkish orange color. It’s funny because I used to hate stripes, but now I have so many stripes in my closet. I love it! I want to show you guys five ways to style stripes.
The first way I styled this striped top was with a simple outfit – jeans and booties. You can never go wrong with this casual look. I paired it with my Charlotte Russe two tone jeans and Forever 21 peep toe brown booties.
The second way I styled this striped top was with dark jeans, leopard slides, and a scarf. Stripes and animal print are apparently considered neutral patterns so they make a great pattern combo. The combination of prints makes this a fun casual outfit.
The third way I styled this striped top was with wide leg pants, block heels, and a floppy hat. This outfit is a little bit of a dressy look compared to the first two outfits. I got these wide leg pants earlier this year from Forever 21 and they are so comfortable and soft. They can be dressed up or down and they go well with everything. I’ve also been a little obsessed with hats this season so adding a floppy hat is a great accessory to spice up an outfit.
The fourth way I styled this striped top was with a fun colored corduroy skirt, heels, and a baker boy cap. I love the green corduroy skirt. It’s a perfect color for the fall.
The last way I styled this striped top was with a black suede skirt and yellow flats. I love how the yellow flats pop with the outfit.
I hope this post inspires you to think of multiple ways on how to style a simple item. All of my outfit details are linked below. Hope you guys have a great week!
